Art Director

  • Lead a team of character and location artists in the visual development of a new international preschool property
  • Work in collaboration with other departments to ensure smooth deliveries throughout the production pipeline
  • Work closely with show Director for overall artistic direction
  • Share and execute your cohesive vision from initial rough drawings to final polished art
  • Assign work, attend production meetings and mentor artists in their roles

Qualifications

  • 4+ years experience in a senior level design role
  • Fluent in Photoshop
  • Maya and Harmony skills a plus
  • Degree/Diploma from a recognized art, animation or design school desired
  • Excellent communication, artistic, technical and creative skills
  • Strong understanding of proportion, balance, perspective, shape and volume
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and follow through in a fast-paced environment
  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude, with the ability to work within tight deadlines
  • Be pro-active and solution-orientated

Digital Painter

  • Work closely with Art Director and/or Background Paint Lead to apply color, textures and details to approved background designs
  • Reference color keys established by Color Stylist to adhere to show style and guidelines
  • Further the storytelling process using color, design and sense of light
  • Adhere to the production schedule provided by Line Producer to ensure cost effective, timely production

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience
  • Positive attitude with the ability to be flexible
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, written, e-social skills and acumen
  • Ability to align with style and sensibility of show
  • Ability to translate reference into 2D art
  • A portfolio demonstrating your ability to design and paint in a variety of styles
  • Knowledge of drawing software that includes Photoshop, Illustrator, Harmony and 3D technology, where applicable
